Motivational interviewing (MI) is a patient-centered communication technique that helps people resolve ambivalent feelings and insecurities to find the internal motivation they need to change their behavior. In this interactive online course, you will learn basic MI techniques you can use with patients to help support behavior change: open-ended questions, affirmations, reflective listening and summarizing. No previous MI experience required. Ideal forPatient Navigators, Community Health Workers, Nurses, public health professionals, or anyone who is working with clients on behavior change Cost
What to ExpectThis course is instructor-led with one live learning session (LLS) per week. You will complete weekly homework before attending each LLS. The live sessions will be interactive with both large and small group activities. We ask that you participate in the live learning sessions by video to connect with your peers. 4 Live Learning Sessions
Course AccessThe course materials will be available 1 week before the first live session. You will receive additional instructions at that time.
